  • Earth-i achieves Planet Platinum Partner Status

20 October 2023 – Earth-i, a geospatial intelligence company using machine learning, artificial intelligence, and Earth Observation data, has achieved Planet Platinum Partner Status, joining a select group globally.

Earth-i integrates Planet’s market-leading portfolio of satellite data, ranging from the very high-resolution SkySat constellations and daily high-revisit of PlanetScope, to its high and medium-resolution Planet Fusion and Sentinel Hub datasets. The Earth-i team is also anticipating the launch of the new Pelican and Tanager constellations currently in development.

Planet’s data empowers the Earth-i team to develop innovative solutions, enabling our customers to undertake projects at a scale not previously possible and gain an information advantage from a quantitative data source, rather than relying on legacy qualitative data sources that may be susceptible to bias.

Earth-i is thrilled to be a Platinum partner in the Planet Orbit partnership program, supporting customers worldwide in integrating Earth observation (EO) data into their decision-making processes and digital transformation programmes.

Whether assisting customers at the beginning of their EO data journey or helping clients build custom solutions in commercial, government, or defense markets, Earth-i’s team of remote sensing, GIS, AI, and application developers possesses extensive knowledge across various market verticals. This expertise enables them to provide a competitive advantage tailored to the scale and budget of their customers, as well as seamlessly integrate with other EO and non-EO datasets.

Charles Davis, CEO at Earth-i, stated, “With its market-leading network of satellites, Planet offers one of the most valuable sources of high-frequency earth observation data. This capability allows Earth-i to monitor changes over time in any country worldwide, providing our customers with qualitative leading indicators of market trends and risks. Planet enables Earth-i to innovate for our customers and provide valuable commercial feedback to Planet’s product teams.”

“Earth-i is a valued Planet partner and we are excited to continue building a strong relationship,” said Carlien Stadhouders, Regional Sales Director (EMEA) at Planet. “With our aligned mission and expanding business, we believe our partnership can reduce the barrier to delivering geospatial insights at a global scale.”
